Karachi as I knew it

Rochi Ram is 90 years old.He was born in Mithi,which was then connected to the world by camels and horses.He became a lawyer through a correspondence examination from Bombay.In his long career,minorities, and the smaller provinces of Pakistan.He has been active in the Arya Samaj movement in post-partition India, a member of the communist party and of thr Haider Bakhsh Jatoi's Hari Movement.Rochi Ram was also instrumental in mobilizing political support for Fatima Jinnah in 1964.He has influenced hundreds of young people into progressive thinking and political participation.Many of them are active today in politics and intellectual pursuits.Rochi Ram is not only a legendary activist, but the author of numerous books on history, culture, and politics.

The Karachi Conference Foundation is  hosting its Sixth Annual Karachi Conference on 9, 10 and 11 November 2018 at the JS Auditorium, IBA City Campus. 
The Karachi Conference aims to showcase current research and critical discourse on Karachi. It will not only be examining questions that define the city's inner life today, but also global concerns of urban change. 
It aims to celebrate the socio-economic depth and cultural mosaic of Karachi, which is one of the most ethnically and religiously diverse cities in the world. It seeks to highlight its importance and all facets of its existence by bringing together research undertaken by local and international academic institutions, scholars, development workers, educators,  cultural and social activists onto a single platform.
